Never forced Shoaib to marry: Ayesha

Ayesha Siddiqui, the alleged wife of Shoaib Malik, Saturday said that she had never forced Shoaib to marry her and that it was Shoaib himself who first expressed the intention of getting married. Talking exclusively to Geo News, Ayesha Siddiqui clarified that she had never chatted with Shoaib over the Internet nor did their first meeting took place on the Internet. “We first met in Dubai in the year 2000 … I never even recognized in that meeting that he was a Pakistani cricketer,” she claimed. To a question, Ayesha said: “At first we were only good friends and it was Shoaib himself who disclosed to the media that we had met in Dubai.” She said her second meeting with Shoaib took place in Jeddah and that Shoaib came to India by receiving a visa from Kenya. Pakistan cricket star Shoaib Malik and Indian tennis star Sania Mirza are being chased by Indian media and every bit of their marriage is reported. Their wedding arrangements are at peak and they are reportedly going to New Dehli for shopping, India media reported. 'Wedding cards are also being distributed among the who's who'. Earlier today, Shoaib Malik reached at the house of his wife-to-be Sania Mirza. In a video captured by the local media, Shoaib was seen standing at the terrace of Sania's bungalow situated in Jubilee Hills of Hyderabad, where he made a surprise and unexpected visit to meet his fiancé. They will be tying the knot on 15th April in the same five star hotel where Sania Mirza got engaged with her childhood friend Sohrab Mirza.

Sania says knows the truth

Her prospective groom is facing allegations of marrying and dumping a woman, but Indian tennis ace Sania Mirza backed Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Malik on the matter, saying that she and her family have known the truth all along. Although she did not mention Shoaib directly, Sania's latest twitter feed clearly supported her husband-to-be, who has been ac cused of cheating a Hyderabadi girl Ayesha Siddiqui after a telephonic nikah. "Me and my family know what the truth is, we've known it all along and we have confidence in god's justice," Sania said. The 24-year-old has been flayed by the Shiv Sena and some other right wing parties for deciding to marry the Pakistani all-rounder. Getting ready for the "biggest day" of her life, Sania said she never thought she would have to deal with so many things apart from the regular pre-wedding jitters.

Pakistani cricket star and former captain Shoaib Malik reached today at the house of his wife-to-be Sania Mirza, India’s top tennis star, Geo News reported Saturday. Turning the hea t on Shoaib Malik before his April 15 marriage to Sania Mirza, Ayesha Siddiqui and her family today threatened to sue the Pakistani cricketer and made it clear that the unsavoury chapter will be closed only if she gets an "official divorce". Ayesha, who claims to have married Shoaib in 2002, went the whole hog on Friday circulating copies of her 'nikahnama' to Pakistani and Indian channels where she poured her heart out on the break-up. The marriage certificate was shown by several Pakistani television channels and apparently contained the signatures of Shoaib on the column for the groom and the name of Maha Siddiqui on the column for the bride. At a press conference, MA Siddiqui said the ‘nikahnama’ that had been produced before the media was genuine, having the stamp of the Qazi who conducted the wedding, the signature of the witnesses and of Shoaib himself. Malik-Siddiqui row enters legal twist

The controversy over Sania Mirza’s marriage to Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Malik gets uglier, as the Siddiquis, who claim that the cricketer married their daughter Ayesha in 2002, on Saturday sent a legal notice to the Maliks. This legal notice was dispatched today morning and will take 48 working hours to reach the Maliks in Pakistan. The family has sent a legal notice the Maliks on the grounds of defamation, harassment, character assassination and fraud. Sources said that plans are being undertaken to bring both the families to a discussion table to resolve the issue. Meanwhile, Shoaib Malik too turned to legal services, by hiring a Delhi-based lawyer named Ramesh Gupta, to file a defamation case against the Siddiquis. Gupta, who has a chamber in Delhi's Patiala House court complex, is a former chairman of Bar Council of Delhi. He has appeared as defence lawyer in high-profile cases like BMW hit-and-run case and is main lawyer for Rahul Mahajan in the ongoing trial over the latter

Despite the controversy surrounding his marriage with tennis star Sania Mirza, Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Malik is reported to be at Sania's place in Hyderabad. It has been reported Shoaib Malik arrived here from Dubai on Friday and is with Sania's family since then.  It has been reported that the two sports stars will tie the nuptial knot in Dubai on April 15, as Malik's family fears protests in India on their arrival.    The Pakistani media has reported that Malik's family wants the wedding to take place in Dubai and would not come to India.  "Around 25 people are expected to attend the marriage in Dubai," adds the Pakistani media.  After the marriage, the couple will be based in Dubai, where Shoaib is a resident.  The wedding ceremony of both the sports stars will take place in April, while the Walima reception will be hosted by Shoaib on April 16 or 17 in Lahore.  Shoaib was earlier engaged to another Hyderabad girl, Ayesha Siddiqui.
