The Lahore city police chief has assured full security cover during the wedding reception of cricketer Shoaib Malik and Indian tennis sensation Sania Mirza.
"It is a case of high profile marriage. Therefore, we are making high-level security arrangements for the couple in Lahore," Geo News quoted Lahore City Police Officer (CCPO) Pervaiz Rathore, as saying.
The star couple is scheduled to tie the nuptial knot on April 15 in Hyderabad, and the reception (Walima) is likely to be held on April 16 or 17 in Lahore.
Earlier, the reception was planned for Sialkot, Shoaib's hometown, but it was shifted to Lahore as Sania was denied a visa for Sialkot by Pakistani authoritites.
